Hardest course in the major by far. Tutorial questions are a must for the final exam, far more important than the lecture examples.

Accounting for Corporate Structures introduces students with concepts that are relevant to how accountants deal with companies that have different capital structures in terms of joint operation, joint venture, significant influence and a corporate group with parent-subsidiary relationships. It also covers segment reporting within a corporation that comprises different operating segments, foreign currency translations and external administration. Students will learn how to prepare consolidated financial statements useful for interpreting the operation and financial performance of a corporate group. This course is challenging to which that the topics require a lot of commitments and understanding.

Worst course for difficulty level!! Most definitely the hardest accounting course you'll do at UQ for your undergrad. Good luck.

Find a good tutorial and never miss it! This course is unique in that tutorials provide more insight into assessable content than lectures. I repeat, finding a good tutorial and sticking with it is a must for this subject!

Its a difficult subject, you definitely need to stay on top of it. Danny is lovely and a good lecturer but I did find the lectures did not relate to the content of the exams that much. The tutes and workshops were much more important for the exams.
