This course is hyped up to be much harder than it is - it takes a few weeks at first, but put in the time and learn the content and it's very easy to do well. If you're struggling too much with this, you will not pass later courses.

Dr Liza O'Moore was amazing! SO many helpful resources and very good lecturing style. I struggled with dynamics though and there were almost no solutions to past exams or learning resources to help me. Overall I really enjoyed this course :)

Dr. Lisa O Moore was really good as a statics lecturer, provided excellent explanations and I believe the course was well run. The Dynamics part was quite tricky though for those who have not done MATH1052.

Absolutely shocking course. So poorly run. No blackboard resources, no past paper exam solutions, no clear lectures. Everything is really poorly set out. If there was any shred of chance of me doing Civil engineering, ENGG1400 just killed it.

Statics lecturer was excellent. Very clear explanations, favourite lecturer of the semester. Unfortunately, post-midsem break the course became dynamics and the new lecturer was utterly useless at explaining anything in a complete or logical way. His teaching was unorganised and unclear and has caused about 300 people this semester to abandon any future in mechanical engineering
