Interesting content but the contact hours in this subject are a nightmare. The group assignment is also a horrible and drawn out affair. Try to get a good group of people if you can and make sure you study for the exam and pay attention to small details. The final exam is a killer and has a lot of nit picky questions that draw on content that seemed like the lecturer was just throwing in as a cool fact (e.g. "Out of the following people, who has the most twitter followers?"...)

While I will agree it was pretty easy it was also one of those subjects that actually seemed relevant moving into the modern day "online" workforce. For anyone who is into blogging and knows the first thing about I.T. (which I didn't) you might find this boring. I took away some valuable information and new skills from this course. But it was a bit painful at times.

Excellent elective for IT/Multimedia students. Discusses IP, P2P, Privacy, Semantic search, Cloud, Copyright and Politics (of the web). No final examination. Participation grades, reflective paper and group project.

This subject was quite easy. No need to attend lectures. When I did this subject there was no exam or any reason you needed to know the lecture content. So only a 2 hour workshop a week. Breezy. Computer technology terms were a little confusing for a Communication student.
