Reviews

It was a hard course for me as someone who hasn't study previously or really been interested in the analysis side of maths (proofs). I took MATH1051/52 and with perseverance and study I ended up getting good marks despite being very anxious about this course. It's also my minor so I haven't done a lot of other maths, physics or engineering subjects to be able to apply this knowledge to. However, I've heard if you do MATH1071/72 it is an easier transition. I recommend finding a group to help you study and attending lectures/ tutorials if worried. In 2022 lectures weren't used as normal. 1st lecture: time to read the textbook, 2nd lecture: a workshop, 3rd lecture: Q/A. It was difficult getting use to learning from the textbook but it was beneficial. Good luck to anyone doing this!! :)

Very easy content, with easy assignments. Final exam can be difficult, and not entirely related to course content. Overall, still one of my favourite courses
