I took the course in semester 2, 2021. Associate Professor Karen Turner was the coordinator. The quizzes were easy enough to manage though at the first four weeks the readings may seem challenging but it is exciting and interesting at the same time. If you have studied psychopathology the case report will be easier. The course can be better if self-care workshops are included. It prevented me from having an episode recently (for real, I miraculously had better sleep hygiene after listening to the lectures haha not because it's difficult, but because it was easier to put the interventions into practice!) If you have a mental disorder, or you are simply interested in the DSM you should try it. Free tutorial marks for completing worksheets and engagement.

I really enjoyed this course! The lecturers and tutors were great and encouraged interaction with students. The assessments aren't too bad, as the exam is an online open book exam. There is quite a lot of progressive assessment, but I found that it really helped with understanding if you completed it. My favourite course so far.

This course was really interesting. The tutorials were great and we had a lot of tute discussions and debates. The assignment for this elective course is very similar to the assignment for the core course PSYC3102 - Psychopathology (which is known to be a hard course/assignment), so doing this course would be great preparation for PSYC3102. The end of semester exam (60% when I did it, administered online as a quiz) was quite easy.
