Great elective that really shows how psychology and public health can align. Highly recommend as it gives you a great understanding of content from both fields and how they interplay.

Great course covering a range of health-related content. Particularly useful for those interested in or studying health promotion/public health. Strongly recommend asking essay questions specific to your chosen topics as early as possible (you have most of the semester to write it) so you fully understand what to include and feel confident in your submission. Really interesting to research a non-communicable disease, health behaviour and associated interventions so if you're interested in that then would recommend this course! No end of semester exam either- mid-sem and online quiz last week of semester. Read every reading in the list, summarise each of these and revise these summaries for your exam and quiz (and try to remember the authors of these readings)!!!

Amazing elective which covers such interesting and engaging topics. The mid-semester exam and the individual presentation are very easy as long as you don't fall behind. The essay, however, is a lot harder than what you might originally think. The tutors are INSANELY harsh with marking... INSANELY! After a certain time, they also stop answering questions related to the essay, so it is so important to make sure you ask questions and clarify everything. I would definitely recommend picking your topic for the essay as soon as you can, and having an in depth conversation about your ideas with your tutor.
