Very structured class with all information about learning outcomes and assessments provided very early on. Time-locked weekly Canvas quizzes ensure that students learn the content well each week and don't cram later on. Pre-recorded lectures on Canvas (originally in this format even before COVID-19), explaining modern history in a clear and concise manner. Readings were complementary to course content, essentially summaries of each week's video lectures (split into two parts for easy watching). The final essay was also quite do-able, and feedback was provided on the essay proposal to ensure that students were going in the right direction.
