This was my favourite unit in first year! Very well structured unit and easy to follow. Quizzes were easy marks and the assessments felt fair. The content was really interesting - you got to learn all the basics of chemical reactions and stability, which was reinforced really nicely in tutorials. The only thing I didn't particularly enjoy were the labs - they were very dry and uninteresting (I didn't feel that they tied into lecture content well at all).

More demanding than CHEM1101/1901 due to the introduction of organic chemistry, but very rewarding nonetheless. Fast paced, but very well structured and plenty of resources available if you need them. If you study hard in this subject, it makes 2nd and 3rd year Chem subjects (especially organic ones) a lot easier
