lots of stuff... if u didn't do physic in HSC u going to cry in the first half of the semester... I got to lecturers and one of the lecturers is a bit boring spend lots of time on it and u will be fine the lab is easy, and the demos are mostly fun

I second the first comment. I struggled in this unit, especially in the first half of the semester with no physics background. Contents in the second half of the semester relate more to high school. Most of the time I didn't know what was going on and had to ask basic questions in the tutorial. Labs were fun and easy as you are doing the same lab as mainstream and fundamentals. Lab demos were very nice. A lesson I learned from this unit in the first year of uni: check the location of the in-person class before putting them right next to each other. Lesson learnt in running from education building to chem lab. Don't do that.

Overall, an interesting and alright unit of study. The content is somewhat harder than main stream because we go through content more thoroughly and at a faster rate. So if you do not understand something, it is ok, just spend time on it and familiarise yourself with it (I resorted to Khan Academy most of the time). I struggled for the most part of the course. Atomic and molecular orbital diagrams and shapes were convoluted. Tutorials were ok, but half the time I did not know what I was doing and had to ask questions. Practicals were relatively easy. However, different lab demonstrators mark your log book differently.
