Reviews
Great subject. Very useful introductory course to help students get a core understanding of statistics and how they can be economically applied.

Interesting subject with most of its contents related to maths, recommended for first and second year student. The weekly tutorial lessons in 11 weeks are very helpful as most of its questions would be examined

Easy subject if you put in the effort of keeping up with the work. Concepts are not too difficult but they build on one another, so if you don't understand one concept it will be difficult to understand other ones in the future. So be sure to always ask for help when needed and clear any doubts

A basic statistics course. Cover everything from graphs, summary statistics, probability, hypothesis testing to regression. Understanding the topic is important but knowing the problem-solving technique is even more important for this subject. One thing I don't like is the use of statkey.

A great intro unit. If you've done z-scores and the like you'll find that this unit is a cake walk. If not, the concepts are easily understood anyway.
Anonymous, Semester 1, 2015
Great subject. It starts off quite slow and is very easy to HD especially if you smash the mid sem.
Anonymous, Semester 2, 2016
Great subject if you like maths and also isn't very difficult to understand and do well in if you are consistently on top of all the work.

Gets your brain ticking
Anonymous, Semester 1, 2014
Easy enough subject, just need to do the weekly questions and attend tutorials. No surprises in the exam.
Anonymous, Semester 2, 2014
Easy marks if you work hard!
