Kimberly Knight, the tutor and lecturer for this unit was phenomenal. Made the work accessible and was always there if you needed help, explained everything clearly to the best of her ability and truly set you up for success. The content itself was very interesting and even when we all had to move online afterwards, she was able to make the subject still engaging. Can only imagine how good it would have been if we stayed on campus! Assessments were balanced and very doable, we were guided well in how to complete them sufficiently. Work progressed at a steady pace.

A really interesting survey of Old Norse and Old and Middle English literature! The lecturer/tutor made the work accessible, keeps everything at an introductory level, and all works are in translation so definitely don't be discouraged if you've never done medieval lit before (I hadn't but am considering a medieval specialisation because of this unit!). Lecturer was also super enthusiastic about the subject and really accommodating; this unit happened during the onset of COVID-19 and the transition to online uni was managed very well!
