James Loxton plays favourites, he will give you a very hard time in class if he has decided that he does not like you. One of the worst tutorial experiences I’ve ever had at Sydney Uni.

Super fun course, the content can be a bit heavy, but incredibly interesting. The lecturer, James Loxton, is a zionist apologist and spreads Israeli propaganda in his lectures. Infuriating to listen to him talk about how Israel is a democracy..... as if ethnic cleansing is democratic.... boi bye.

Not hard to get distinction, there are many readings however. Comparative politics is about differences and similarities among countries, it's not boring lol, it only widens your horizon. Jame Loxton is the best lecturer I have known, good and clear lectures with many interesting case study. Every political students should attend his lecture.
