This course was quite challenging for those who do not have a great background in mathematics. In high school I completed Mathematical Studies (General equivalent) and I found this course quite difficult. However, if you just spend some quality time working through the tutorial questions then you'll be fine. The tutorials are a must, you have to go to them because that is the place where you will actually learn the course material as the lectures were pretty lackluster at best.

I found the general content quite interesting (given I have no background in computers and very little in maths) however it got very challenging in the second half. This was made a lot worse by the very poor teaching style of the lecturer who went a million miles an hour and assumed you knew everything. Tutorials were very helpful though (group work on white boards style).

Very poor teaching. Bad learning curve for anyone with no solid background in math/computers.
