Clara Grazian provided the incredible low-quality teaching. I took another unit also taught by her, which was also horrible teaching. I don't recommend choosing computer science, engineering, statistics, or math at this university; these aren't the prestigious majors or specializations at this university.

low quality teaching, statistics gets very boring in this unit, focused on the textbook, it's interesting, the only useful thing in this unit.

i failed 3 times

Essential subject for a lot of things, and Di Warren is excellent.

Most garbage unit I have ever had the misfortune of doing. The content is inane, the lecturer is horrible and the content is easy, yet so poorly explained that it makes it difficult. If you actually want to learn Stats, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7ysrfH_Y7lN_aWSUl6fFIVGWcjB4bALp . It's free and well-taught.

An exceedingly difficult subject but the lecturers and tutors are fantastic and able to help whenever you need! Definitely utilise them whenever you have problems (trust me, if you have no mathematical abilities, you'll have a LOT of problems) because the MLC tutors, bar a couple, are not very skilled in statistics so might not always be able to help to the extent you need.

this subject was great and really helped me learn a lot of things that complemented my psychology degree :))
Anonymous, Semester 1, 2017
Some interesting things taught, shows how statistics actually requires knowledge from a whole wide array areas of maths
Anonymous, Semester 2, 2017
Poorly taught

Some students say statistics is the easiest math subject others say it is the hardest. Well... I think statistics need different strategies to learn. Unlike differential or linear algebra, it seems to be more practical in real life. Treat it as a tool, rather than math! Hope this helps!
