Overall, a pretty good subject, makes for a good challenge with the assignments. Hardest part is making sure all the markers assess each company the same. As some companies are marked easier than others. End of the day, without past assignments and working with other students, this can make it very very hard. Working as a functional group from assignment one through the semester can make life very easy. The final questions are easy enough, there is just lots and lots of questions. Time management is super key.

The subject offers an in depth insight into what you actually do as an accountant and the information you are able to decipher about a company just by looking at its financials. It is a fundamental subject to understand and puts into practice many of the concepts you build upon throughout your degree and particularly the accounting major.
