An interesting unit that felt pretty fair in terms of assessment and difficulty of the content, and also provides a lot of good insight into how large amounts of data are managed in the real world with practical applications. Assignments were pretty open-ended, which sometimes makes it difficult to know if you're on the right track but also gives you a lot of room to put into practice what gets covered in the lectures and labs in the way that you think is best, and if you've understood the lectures and labs then you should be fine. Only difficulties I had was with getting some of the software to work right (SSAS in particular). Overall, I enjoyed the unit and feel that I've learnt a lot that I can actually make use of beyond the classroom.

The material is fairly easy, the lecturer is happy to provide you with a vast amount of material in regards to tests and exams and as long as you rock up the lecture and labs, you should mostly be fine. It is a third-year unit so not a cake-walk but fair and pretty interesting. Lecturer does have a severe accent that can be very hard to understand.
