It a tough unit in terms of work load, I felt Alan makes a good effort, I enjoyed it but was exhausted at the end!!

Strongly recommend taking the GIS unit before this, or at least having a general understanding of the software. Although it's not stated as a pre-requisite, EART2201 (introduction to GIS)/knowledge of GIS is needed for the field trip in this unit. Without it, you will be relying on someone else who may have done the unit several years before. Other than that, the work is pretty straight forward and gives a good introduction into the application of geophysical field data.
