Reviews

(review by someone taking this as a MD Scholarly Activity) unit coordinator Linda is extremely supportive and accommodating especially when it comes to assignments and making sure it is fair to everyone. not many lectures to watch so you can cram it in a few days. would highly recommend attending tutorials, especially if youre doing it online, as it lets you socialize (rip social life during covid) and Linda goes over main points of the tute, which can be quite vague if you did the tute on your own, as sometimes the answers are not released. the worst part of this unit would be the essay (30%) as many of my classmates found it was marked a bit harshly, and it took up A LOT of time from our actual med studies. second worst thing is the weekly etivity / posts that we need to do for the 25% participation marks, the task often takes up a lot of time which was frustrating as I also had med to study. Final exam (45%) was open book, online LMS MCQs and take home SAQ, both were very reasonable and not the most difficult exams i have done.

Good unit however be prepared to do the work every week - ongoing assessments every few weeks that require you to have watched the lec before. Great unit coordinator though, and you definitely can get a lot out of this unit if you put work into it!
