Nat the unit coordinator is a complete h@mo, provided us with totally irrelevant exam study materials which are not gonna be examined at all, his classes are boring af too, makes you stand in a gym just to listen to him yaps about all the contents 90% of the time (which are already on LMS). Wheras Martin is a decent bloke, his classes are way more enjoyable than Nat's, big up Martin.

Easy HD as long as you keep up with the content and watch all the lecture videos. Not too much content, around 12-14h in total, but the exam is a bit specific but doable. The in persona practicals are fun and engaging. Highly recommend as an elective.

Very enjoyable unit, I did feel lost at times in trying to find what content to revise, but lectures and lab sessions (Both gym and aerobic) were great fun. I learned a lot through these sessions that I was able to implement into my own training. Just make sure to keep on top of what you need for your exams and you should jog out with good marks.

Good summer unit. Lab manual is very easy to complete, and the final exam was super easy. I just with that there was an aerobic component. There are 9 laboratory (gym) sessions, but it is all resistance training and no aerobic training. The non-summer school version of this unit has assignments on aerobic exercise, so I don’t understand why the summer school version doesn’t. I’ve done SSEH1102 so I was really looking forward to the assignments of this unit, but there were none. The exam was also too easy. Some of the questions were downright ridiculous and I expect that a lot of students were able to cheat. It's really weird, because I've done SSEH1101 & SSEH1102 and both of them were much harder than this unit.

Easily the best unit I have ever done in my entire degree. I think that it is incredibly insightful and whether you're just starting out in fitness or quite experienced there is so much to get out of this unit. I have been training for many years and would have always considered myself knowledgeable, this unit gave me a whole new layer of understanding. I am constantly referring back to the lectures in my mind when I am working out now. I truly have a new found respect for training and the physiological responses undergone by my body. I did this unit during the summer period of 2021-2022. I'd say it is an easy HD if you go through all the material and attend all of the laboratories. The learning material is primarily mini-lectures. The laboratories are hands on but also really enjoyable. This degree had a profound impact on me and I really think that anyone passionate about fitness or even interested in getting started would also feel the same way. I could not recommend it enough. It is also worth mentioning that the unit coordinator, Pete, is incredibly kind and supportive.

Don't be fooled, this is not an easy subject. Don't take this subject unless you love and want to learn about anatomy and other sports medicine stuff. Nat the coordinator has made this subject really hard and exam don't even need to talk total crap.

This is a very fun and easy broadening unit. You don't need to be sporty to do this; it's more about being chill about it. The lecture content was very easy, but did require paying attention to quite a bit. The pracs were fun. The exam was a very easy MCQ, so as long as you did some prior study, it'll be an easy HD. Overall, very easy and fun summer unit.

Fun broadening unit with good practicals that you can apply to everyday life. Would have liked some more in depth information about nutrition. Exam was fairly easy but is pretty harshly marked so be careful and make sure you study hard.

Great summer unit, lectures are easy to keep up with and understand, gym sessions are fun and the tutors (learning facilitators) are very knowledgeable. Would recommend for anyone looking for a easy summer unit pass. Can confirm 40% assessment + attendance & Exam 60%

This was the best unit I've ever done, I absolutely loved it! I was a bit hesitant initially as I'm not very good at sport but it honestly doesn't matter, it's more about having fun. You really must study for the exam though, don't go thinking it will be easy as I studied so much and thought I had everything down packed but there were heaps of tricky and specific questions and you really had to know your stuff.
