Great unit! Super fun and enjoyable
Anonymous, Semester 2, 2019
Prisons, Punishment, and Criminal Justice is one of the core units that is included within the Western Sydney University's School of Social Sciences. This unit is a fantastic unit for those who are interested in punishment theory and the philosophical aspect of justice and crime. During the Spring 2015 semester this unit comprised of two assessments worth 50% each. The assessments were researched based and drew heavily from weekly readings and independent research. If you choose to enrol in this unit prepare to complete each of the weekly readings as they form the basis of the theory for the unit. Additionally, the lectures serve as supplementary material for the readings. If you complete ALL of the readings, attend to lectures, and engage with the content and teaching staff, HD's are easily accomplished.
