Teacher explains things very well. It is quite a complex subject, but he does his best to explain in plain English. I found the lectures very useful. Read the text too, but lectures are best. Exam was fair

Very hard subject conceptually, but very interesting nonetheless. The closed book exam is rather stressful to think about - just pay attention to the hints given by the lecturers and keep detailed notes on the themes surrounding Administrative Law. Doing summary notes like other subjects is not useful - rather focus on developing understand on the common themes. I cannot stress how important it is is to start and keep on top of the assignment as early as possible. I did not do that and kept it for the last 1.5 weeks before it was due. I was lucky to get a D for the assignment but upon noticing my mistakes and the amount of time it took to cram the assignment and the levels of stress, all this could have been avoided and I could have attained a grade in the 40's +. Devote a fair amount of time (5-10 hours) every week to the assignment + exam preparation notes and you will find this subject pretty awesome!

If you're looking to work in government or on any tribunals this subject is worth paying attention to. Although it is different from most other subjects you have studied, it is well-taught. Keep up with the readings and don't be intimidated by the closed book exam!

Very interesting subject, and Michael had very interesting things to say about the law! Notes and lectures provided a lot of guidance and material for the closed book exam.

Don't let yourself fall behind in this unit as its hard to catch back up. There are a lot of case studies to read so make sure that you make some succinct notes of these for the closed book exam. As long as you've done you're readings the unit isn't as difficult as people say it is.

Although quite conceptually challenging, Admin Law is a very interesting subject, and when taught well, is a good subject to achieve highly in. A lot of preparation and reading needs to go into the subject though, and I recommend getting onto of the subject from the first week with all relevant materials, most importantly the prescribed textbook.
