Not the best unit. I did this as a first-year engineering unit as I didn't do VCE Physics and they covered VCE physics and more. They dumped about 10 subchapters of textbook reading to do as prereading for the week and about 1-2 hours of pre-workshop lectures. The weekly workshops were somewhat helpful but the amount of content assigned for prereading per week was simply too much lol. The assignments were also difficult, but could be done with some effort. However, the thing that makes up for all of this is the fact that the final exam wasn't a hurdle, meaning as long as you get a 50% total in your continuous assessments (worth 60% of the unit), you don't even have to attempt the exam to pass the unit. The textbook used was the Open Stax College Physics Book. If there was less content, the unit would have been more doable, and the exam wouldn't have had to scale up heaps. I however really liked the amount of support and help available for this unit which was much more than any other unit with weekly help sessions and emails with several questions being responded to at any time. The threads for each assessment were also great. I'd suggest having the VCE Physics textbook for reference as well as it may help throughout the unit.

A very straight forward fundamental physics unit, it teaches you the basics and is doable for people without a physics background.
