Grade: 94. I enjoyed the subjects as I'm personally interested in corporate finance. It's a good subject that teaches you how corporate finance (in a basic and theoretical way) works. There are lots of new concepts introduced, so you have to put in a good amount of time for studying the lecture materials. Make sure you study the material before the lecture, so you have an idea of what's going on in the lecture, as the lectures are 2 hours and sometimes move pretty fast. MST and exam are doable, but not easy. The math part is not challenging, but not easy as well. You have to practice a lot to master it. The exam and MST are theory heavy so make sure you really understand the concepts.

Mad props to Yudong Zheng, he explains things very clear, concise and easy to follow. Make this guy the subject coordinator already, he knows the subject like the back of his hand.

Logical continuation from corp fi content covered in PoF. Is a logical insight into how IBs work and logic behind debt/equity raising. If you see your self working corp finance/IB/insto banking/M&A/transaction services this class is essential as it covers an in-depth insight into those fields. A lot of quantitatively inclined students where less interested in this class as it put a greater emphasis on theory. Overall great class and not a hard H1

A very practical subject for those who are looking to work in the world of Corporate Finance. A bit challenging at times but builds on a lot of the concepts taught thoroughly in the preceding subject, Principles of Finance (FNCE10002)

i didnt mind the subject- as someone who is not naturally great with finance. It was taught well

Was hoping for a more practical finance subject although CFDM did not quite deliver. Also not a fan of the TAPPS exercises or Sean's lecturing style

Pretty decent subject. More theoretical than expected, and lacks calculation compared to PoF. There is a lot of focus on the rules and regulations, which can be dry at times. Sean's TAPPS exercises were great, but unfortunately not recorded on lecture capture, so do attend his lectures because quite a lot of exam questions were on the TAPPS.

Way better than pof. Chander's great!

Sean is a pretty good lecturer. The only thing is that his slides lack any information, and the TAPPS exercise wouldn’t be recorded on lecture capture, hence you have to attend all lectures and pay attention so you can make notes. Most of the content is theory and there’s hardly any calculations.

Chander was a pretty amazing lecturer! That helped me so much when doing CFDM! The lecturer can really make all the difference!
