If you’re taking this unit as an anthropology major you know what to expect by now. This is the capstone unit for the degree & really aims to expose you too as many kinds of anthropology as possible before you graduate. I’d recommend reading through the topics so you be prepared for the heavier topics (prisons, medical anthropology, loneliness). Gretchen sent me the PowerPoint for a lecture a week in advance so I would be emotionally prepared for what was to come. As an elective I wouldn’t recommend this unless you’ve taken previous anthropology units because it does reply on a prior knowledge base. I really enjoyed this unit as an anthropology major and learned a lot
