The unit coordinator doesn't seem to care about the unit. The help forum is flooded with questions that aren't tended to by any staff. The unit coordinator's "laziness" means that the mid-sem was constructed directly from the lecture slides—which is a good thing if you want marks. It's not the hardest unit you'll have, but it's poorly run despite covering interesting concepts and interesting open-to-interpretation projects. Student support: 1/5 Good marks: 3.5/5 (not an easy unit, but with work can very easily get good marks) Curriculum: 3.5/5

Interesting curriculum and assignments, and very relevant for modern computing jobs, but lectures are fairly poor. I ended up using MPI and openp documentation more than the lecture slides for revision

Conceptually fairly hard to understand, FORTRAN is a little pointless. The lecturer is OK, not very good at understanding the question and actually answering it.
