Thorough unit that will teach you the basics of GIS quite well. Exam is multi-choice and straight forward. What is dissapointing about this unit however, is the inconsistent marking of the lab portfolis. I think this was mainly the unit coordinator getting upset that people weren't coming to lectures so basically decided to hammer everyone. This was very unfair and drew the ire on many of the 2016 class. Despite the marking anomoly, I would still reccomend this unit to anyone studying a science or engineering degree. The ood outweighs the bad.
