I would not recommend this unit. There is one three-hour lecture/tutorial per week and it is not recorded. The justification for not recording the lectures is that the material is 'sensitive' (which is not true) and that the lecturer wanted people to be able to participate in the lecture without worrying about being recorded (fair enough). There was almost no actual content covered throughout the unit- there was lots of group discussion, but very little teaching. The main assessment was a reflective journal, where we had to reflect on four of the lectures we attended. We didn't have to reflect on the overall themes/content of the lecture, just anything that we discussed (however briefly it may have been discussed). The other main assessment was a group research project/presentation where you chose your own topic and focus. This assignment could be very easy or very difficult depending on your group (as with all group assignments). Participation was expected and was marked very harshly. Overall, this unit was pretty useless and very boring.

Assessment structure was very weird in this unit. Lectures aren't recorded and there are no slides. Stay away.
