This unit is so slept on! You don't have to watch a single lecture to do well in this unit. There are a few assessments, but they are all very easy and feel like yr 7-10 high school assignments. The semester culminates into writing your own song, including lyrics, melody, and production. Very chill teacher who accommodates for all music skill levels. Prior music knowledge is recommended, at least a basic understanding of chords and the ability to play one instrument OR sing (note - you have to sing your own song or you can get someone else to sing it, but someone has to sing it). Loved this unit, wish I could take it again.

This unit was super fun! Highly recommend if you want a super easy and enjoyable elective to take. The activities for each week were easy to complete and the classes were quite interesting as the teachers were very passionate and friendly. The last assignment was to write a song, which was super fun!
