Reviews

This was a difficult unit overall, but highly interesting. There's a lot of content to learn (typical of pathology) and some concepts were quite new and hard to grasp straight away. Extra reading is almost a requirement for this unit, don't expect to get by on just the lectures alone. Labs were interesting and unique - instructions very given clearly, and you work in groups. Some topics might be a little in the deep end at first (e.g. bioinformatics). Scientific writing assessments were useful. The poster was a fun group project (if you had a group group) and gives you a taste for the research field if you are interested in that. They tell you what won't be assessed in the final exam, which is always good.
