Reviews

This unit was pretty challenging and a big step up from second year. You need to put a lot of work into the reports if you want to do well. The exam was also quite hard despite being an online exam. Gavin is the highlight of the unit, he's very dedicated and approachable if you have queries.

A very good and informative unit. Lab reports are pretty hard and the marker is not lenient despite them telling you they are. However, if you seek guidance, they'll give it to you. The quizzes are pretty easy to get at least 80% in. The exam was quite easy but was lab based significantly. The questions are more reasoning based rather than memory. All in all, its a very good unit and I would highly recommend it.

Unfortunately i didn't like this unit. I found the lab reports and marking key vague, and hard to follow. However, the labs are very interesting and manipulating different forms of muscle is a great educational experience. The labs go for approximately 8 hours which is exhausting and kind of boring at times due to waiting for bathing solutions e.t.c
