Such a great stress free unit. The lecture content kind of has nothing to do with any of the quizzes or tutorials work so I found it hard to sit and listen through them. The assignment is pretty good and doesn't take long if your group works well together and stays on top of things. Being out on the paddle boards every week was great and good fun. Easy HD in this unit would recommend if you want a chilled elective.

This was a great unit to get outside and have a break from staring at a computer. The quizzes are not based on lecture content, and the lecture content is not very related to the recreational activities (kayak/SUP/bike). I enjoyed the lecture content though, and the leadership principles are applicable to whatever field you're wanting to go into. The exam was based on lecture content and was all MCQ and quite straightforward. The group assignment can be fun if you start early and delegate responsibilities. Filming and editing a 15 minute video takes longer than you think, especially when you have to pack lecture content into it. If you're unorganised as a team it's a bit of a rough assignment. If you're organised you'll be fine- film every activity every week, and allow 2-4 weeks to edit it and prepare video content. I would do this unit again, it's a fun one and a great broadening unit.

Great unit if you are looking for a very social unit at UWA. The online quizzes were okay but had nothing to do with the lectures making it useless as a revision tool, the unit planner said a quiz was in a certain week and then it turned out to be in another week meaning a lot of students missed the quiz and the unit coordinator did not address this at all. The practical teachers seemed to not actually care about the success of the students and did not take their role seriously at all. The exam was multiple choice with heaps of questions about topics that were barely covered in the lectures. Heard this unit was enjoyable but did not necessarily enjoy it much.
