A great foundational subject! Really need to understand your content and pay attention to all lecture videos and case studies.

Need to really know the content, exam was difficult. However, teachers were nice with group project.

A really great subject! The lecturer was amazing and it was quite easy to get good grades.

Genuinely enjoyed this subject and had an amazing group of people!

Everything is just made up in this subject. No substance or academic rigour. Try taking this course with a science course and you'll see a stark difference.

Easy subject. You don't even need to go to lectures or tutorials. You can use the lecture slides to study for your quizzes and your best bet is using the textbook - read the relevant chapter summaries and be accross the key terms they provide. Final exam is basically definitions and expansion on them. Disclaimer: I did the subject in my final sem, so everything you learn a business degree covers what you learn in MKTG.

You don't need to attend the lectures to attain a HD, but make sure you are on top of your notes as it is a very content heavy subject. The greatest difficulty with this subject is the group assignment - if you're in a bad group, this can have a detrimental impact on your final mark.

The content of this subject is reliable to reality marketing strategies that you can find everywhere around you if you notice. The lecturer was very nice!! Pay attention and practice all the online quizzes before you do the one in tutorials as it's very easy to earn mark for this assessment. For the group project, I reckon you start your individual part ASAP, there are a bunch of marketing strategy templates you can find online, just follow those structures list on your assignment guide and if you don't know what to do or how to present your part, just google it! You only have 15 minutes for the presentation and EVERY member have to present their own part, I remember I only got about 2 minutes for myself and my part was all graphs and numbers (budgeting). My tutor was easy going with our group so we easily got HD. Textbook is not compulsory, although all the questions in tutorials were from there because they didn't post it online.

Very very easy. Exam was a breeze. You should work on the group assignment as this is a heavy competent.

The lectures aren't bad at all, but you can definitely get away with skipping them and learning from the textbook instead. You have three in-class quizzes and only your best two count. They're easy enough, though I wouldn't take them lightly as they do account for 30% of your final grade. Memorisation works well in studying for both the quizzes and the final exam, but it definitely helps to brush up on your understanding of the terms and their use in marketing. As for the group assignment, the difficulty doesn't lie in the task itself but rather the amount of effort (or lack thereof) from group members. I'd recommend getting a head start on completing your own individual component. This way you can have more time to work on the group components, especially if you are unfortunate enough to have landed in a group with un-cooperative members like I did. I'd also recommend practising the presentation at least once as a whole group as it is very easy to go over time! If this isn't possible, your best bet would be to have everyone time their own speech and figure out a way to stay within the given time.
